It now turn’s out that my employer pays half the monthly cost of gym memberships. I showed up wholeheartedly for a hard workout-session at my close-by gym for the very first time.

The Real Reason I Quit (And Why I’m Happily Staying Quit)

At the end of the day, the gym just isn’t for me. I’d rather do bodyweight exercises at home where no one films me failing at push-ups. Or go for a run outside where the only smell is fresh air (and occasional dog poop, but at least it’s natural).
Life’s too short to pay money to be surrounded by selfie sticks, questionable odors, and passive-aggressive grunting.

So yeah, I’m embracing my role as a proud couch potato with occasional bursts of motivation. My “gains” come from carrying grocery bags up the stairs, and my cardio is chasing the delivery guy when he forgets my sauce.

If you love the gym -more power to you. Really. You’re stronger than me, both literally and in spirit.
Me? I’ll be over here doing yoga on YouTube in my pajamas, where the only judgment comes from my cat, and the only smell is last night’s pizza, and the farts (cat.. not me).

And honestly? I’ve never been happier.
What about you? Have you also joined the “home workouts only” club?

Stay sweaty, but in a good, non-gym way.
